Thorold Country House Bed and Breakfast has a classic appeal. Wide verandas opening onto manicured lawns to the pool and the delightful subtropical garden oasis.  Situated on 6 acres, the views from the property extend to the Coromandel Hills and the Firth of Thames.

On arrival we offer welcome refreshments of tea, homemade cakes and biscuits and have details on local restaurants for dinner.  Each room has brochures and local guide books to assist with planning your visit to the Coromandel.  There are books on NZ, its wildlife, nature, history etc. 

There are many different areas to sit in the gardens and around the pool and we encourage you to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. 

Guests are welcome to wander around the gardens.  In the orchard there are lemons, oranges and grapefruit to pick. If you would like to walk through paddocks, we can show you around the property and meet our friendly sheep.  We also have a dairy farm nearby available for tours.

For guest wishing to ride the Hauraki Rail Trail, we have cycles and helmets available or if bringing your own cycles, plenty of storage space. Racquets and balls are provided for our grass tennis court and we also have a supply of spades and towels for a visit to Hot Water Beach!

We have a non-smoking policy within the main house, garden cottage and poolside garden.
